How to Study like a Pro
Follow these guides along with our weekly blogs and frequent TikTok tips to improve your study habits.
- Download the IEB SAGS or DBE CAPS document for your subject below
- Read through it thoroughly and find the section(s) your test/exam is based on
- Highlight the focal areas which are your weaker points and prioritize studying these sections first
- Summarizes your notes and study material by hand with blue ink, this is a psychological experiment that showed blue ink yielded 27% better memory than any other ink colour.
- Break down your summary making into four sessions of 25-minute periods and take a 5-10 minute break inbetween
- Once you have completed your summaries, read over them several times and make sure to highlight concepts which need to be memorized such as definitions and short explanations
- Finally, time yourself and focus on practicing on the past papers which can be found below.
- Note that this is applicable for all grades and not just grade 12!
